After nearly two months exploring South Thailand we’re flying to Kuala Lumpur today! Phuket isn’t really our scene but we still saw a few sights over the past few days.

We went to the famous Mai Khao Beach in hope that the planes were landing over the beach and we were in luck! We took a picnic and spent a few hours watching the planes land.

We also travelled down to Phuket Old Town to visit the Central Phuket Mall. We were pleasantly surprised how modern and large it was.

Central Phuket also connects to a new more luxurious mall called Floresta which has many designer brands and also a wonderful food hall.

On our second last day we headed to yet another shopping centre this one being called Porto de Phuket. They had a wonderful Tops Food Hall where they even had robots going down the aisles with promotions…

To our amazement they even had a separate cheese room. We had to restrain ourselves from buying the whole room but we did treat ourselves to a small block of blue cheese which we have missed.

Yesterday we spent the day organising ourselves for a new country and doing our last lot of washing in our favourite laundry parlour in Thailand, Otteri.

This morning we got a Bolt taxi to the airport. Once we dropped our bags off we saw that only one flight on the information board has been delayed…

To top that off the airport has a training exercise for the firefighters and evacuation staff so the alarms keep going off… lovely!

Let’s hope our flight isn’t delayed much more and we make it to Malaysia tonight!
