Pattaya & Ko Lan

Oh Pattaya, what a place you are. (Parents, please don’t google this place). Firstly we went to the Big Buddha statue near our hotel, great views over Jomtien Beach.

We’re staying in Hotel Zing which is definitely the best hotel so far. No cockroaches and a roof top pool!

We went and visited the biggest 7-Eleven in the world, its nautical themed, AHOY CAPTAIN!

The main shopping centre in Pattaya is called Terminal 21. It’s based on an airport and each floor is designed on a different location. London’s floor was a lot nicer than the real thing!

The local supermarket was amazing. They sell absolutely everything, similar to a Walmart. We had some amazing fruit juice and Tasha took 1 hour to decide she didn’t want some £4 shoes.

Today we went to the nearby island of Ko Lan. It takes about 40 minutes on a ferry and costs 30 baht each to get there (about 67p). It has 6 different beaches to explore and the water is extremely clear. We walked up the mountain as everyone else either drove or got a songthaew (little local bus), great way to burn those beers off!

Tasha has fallen in love with this puppy so I’ve been told we must go back soon! I’m happy about this!

We have 3 more days here and we’ll definitely head over to Ko Lan once more.
