We made our way from Ko Chang on a 10 hour journey back to Bangkok, which was surprisingly easy! Lots of stops and arrived back in Bangkok at 9pm.

There was quite a few near misses on the road which made us stay awake!

Then we got a train from the main train station (it’s more like an airport) to Ayutthaya. It took only 1 and half hours and was very good. Left exactly on time, a nice change from network rail!

We are enjoying the lack of mosquitoes here compared to Ko Chang and the hotel has been very pleasant.

Today we looked around a local museum called Chantharakasem National museum which was great fun for the total amount of £2. It showed lots of history of the old capital city of Siam.

We’ve enjoyed a few drinks on a roof top bar near our hotel which we had to ourselves with great views.

Tomorrow we are going on a boat trip to see some of the Wats (temples) around the island and it ends in a night market for dinner!
