A couple of days ago we hired a buggy to drive around three blue lagoons and discover the local villages. Real life Mario kart!

Blue Lagoon 1 had a platform where you could jump in. Just don’t land on the trunk!

Blue lagoon 2 had much clearer more blue water and was definitely our favourite. Another platform for people to jump in too.

On the way to blue lagoon 3 we were fortunate to see many cows and water buffalo. These buffalo’s were very protective over their baby and were giving us a stare down… slightly scary!

Blue lagoon 3 had another jumping platform and a zipline into the water.

The weather took a turn for the worse after visiting this lagoon and poured down with rain on our way back. The buggy had no windscreen so we got drenched!

On Wednesday morning we did one of our biggest activities yet. Paramotoring! We got picked up at 5.30am for sunrise for 15 minutes of flying above the clouds. For 950,000 Kip each (£32) we thought it a great deal and is meant to be one of the best places to do it.

That afternoon, we went to Tham Chang which seemed to be a hidden gem as we pretty much had it to ourselves! And with an entrance price to the caves and blue lagoon for 20,000 Kip each (69p) we couldn’t say no!

Luckily it was a lot cooler in the cave which was a nice change.

There was also a water cave connected which was really cool!

What do you get at a blue lagoon? Another jumping platform! And Mr Adrenaline over here just had to jump off.
We’ve found some really chilled bars in Vang Vieng and have been able to practice our pool skills.

We also found a rooftop bar called Elevate 9 which had stunning views.

The buggy was so fun that we decided to do it again and went back to our favourite lagoon. We were even lucky enough to see an elephant at the side of the road!

Tomorrow we get the bus to Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Let’s see what we can find there!
